Mine!

So I know that it might sound selfish, but I don't really have many things that are mine. All mine I mean. For the most part, everything that is in my house has to do something with the boys, Marc, or all of the above. I really don't have an area to call my own. My sewing machine is in the basement, next to the computer desk, surrounded by toys and junk. I don't even have a drawer or anything to put my sewing stuff in. It is stacked on the table, along with other things that are my husbands.

Joey is always getting into everything as well. There is only like one place in the whole house that he can't get to things. The other day he got into my purse that I stupidly left down. I was overwhelmed and got upset. I didn't get mad at him, I got mad at myself. I shouldn't have left it down. I then realized that I don't have a place, or many things for that matter, that is my own. I have to share it with so many men. I never pick anything out for the house that is pink/purple/girly because of it being in a house with 4 other people who are men and wouldn't like something like that. It always has to be about them. When can I have something that is mine?

I don't even have time that is mine! I only have down time when the boys are asleep. My reasoning is that if they are asleep, why can't I sleep? That would then mean that I have very little time to do things that little hands shouldn't be a part of. IE doing laundry in the basement, folding laundry without someone knocking over the stack of folded ones, doing dishes (without someone screaming because they can't see me!) I don't seem to think that those times that I listed above are really "Me" times really. They are times that I am doing things for myself/the rest of the family so that we don't live in filth and that we have clean clothes!

My purse is the only thing that is Mine and that I don't let anyone else in. What is your thing? Where do you go where its only you? I am curious to see your answers!

I love quilting. I have loved it since I was a little girl. Well I got my own sewing machine the Christmas when I was 9 years old. My mom gave me precut blocks that I could sew and make into my first quilt. From the time I was a little girl, I would either sit there and watch my mom sew a quilt together or quilt it. I remember helping her by handing her the pieces that needed to be sewn together or by keeping the quilt straight in the back of the sewing machine while she was sewing it all together. (I might not have said that quite right, but in my mind, I understand lol) I remember hours of laying under her quilting frames. I would first get under there to make sure that the backing was straight and I would lay under there for hours and sleep, read a book, or just watch her quilt.
Quilting is a favorite pasttime of mine with my mom and now I love to do it as well! I have recently made quilts for my nephews. Cutting the pieces out is hard work (especially with one son who loves to be on top of everything I am doing and two more babies that only like to be held.
If I had the Accuquilt Go Cutter, this might be alot easier. Joey would most likely sit there and "watch" me do it! (He loves to sit and watch me cook, clean, etc so maybe he would sit still for a few minutes and Mommy could get something done!) I am sorry that you don't have anything better to do with your time than to find out if my grass is too tall and write me a warning. I have had other things to do with my time lately than to make sure that my lawn is perfectly manicured to your liking. Next time I need to cut the grass, I will call you and let you watch my 3 children under 2 years old and see if you demand excellence out of me.

I love you very much, but the constant "NO's" that are coming out of your mouth are a bit much. I KNOW that you want peaches or that you would like to watch Nemo, but you don't have to tell me no. I know you mean yes, but you just think you have to say no. I am your mommy and I am here to take care of you!

Dear Doctor's Office,

Thank you very much for fitting me in 3 months after I made my appointment. Now it is 3 days before my appointment and I still don't have the paperwork that I have to have filled out for you. You knew that I had an appointment for over 3 months and you wait until the last week to send me the papers? You want me to plan ahead, but you don't? Please be more prepared next time.

Kids Eat for Free!

10 Dirty Little Secrets

Hmm what are 10 of my dirty little secrets? (and please don't judge me for them either)

I can't skimp on my toothpaste. It has to be a name brand.

I am so anal when it comes to washing/folding my cloth diapers that I don't want anyone to do it in case they mess them up.

I want to sneak shrimp into something that my husband eats. He says that he is allergic, but I don't believe him. (this is a bad one, I know, but I honestly don't believe it)

I so desperately want to be organized, but at the least sign that it won't work, I give up.

I am not the best driver and I know it, but if you ask me, I won't admit it.

I really love drama, only if it's not mine.

I used to match my underware with my clothing, but since having kids, I really don't care anymore.

Sometimes I think that I am better than other people because I cloth diaper my little ones.

I feel like a rebel when I put disposable diapers on them.

I wish that I had really good and clear skin, but I am too lazy to work for it.
