Great things that have happened..

Today. I had great moments with my boys today. I don't want to forget them and I love to bring a smile to everyones face too, so here we go.
Joey- He has been sick. I stayed home today from work to make sure he was ok and if he was worse, I was going to take him to the doctor. Well we are at mom and dads house today and I decided that I was going to work on a little coin purse that I started a while back. I was sitting at the sewing machine and Joey walked in with his sippy cup, screw driver, and some other random object and asked if he could watch. He wants to spend time with his mommy and watch! I melted.
Johnathan-I had layed him down on my moms bed to take a nap. He wasn't all the way asleep and I layed next to him and he just kept reaching for me and burying his face in my shirt. He kept doing that and I just wanted to lay there forever and hold him. I can't believe how big my boys are!
Jonah-Jonah's smile is amazing. He is such a happy little guy. He makes me have a huge smile when I see him doing it. He is starting to stick out his tounge too. I picked him up to take him and put him down for a nap and he just smiled at me and lunged forward to give me a hug. My little boy is so sweet!!

Thankful on a Thursday

This has been a long week. The first two days of the week flew by and then yesterday was a long, long day at work. We had a lot of children that got to go home and then as soon as we emptied the bed and had the room cleaned, we put another child in it. It was frustrating to be running around and the day seeming to go by so slow! But as busy as my day and week have been, I still have to be thankful.

5. For my heath-I am healthy. There are many people that are in and out of the hospital and I only have to work there! God has blessed me with good healthy.

6. My children's health- As I said above, I work at a children's hospital and it is tough to see all those kids who are sick. I thank God every day for healthy children. (even though Joey has a cold today and is super cranky)

7. My son's imagination-He has the most fun with the simplest things in life. He has carried around a screwdriver "driver," as he calls it, for days now and "fixes" things.

8. The gorgeous leaves outside-Today is the first cold day in a while and when I look outside and see the trees, it makes it all worth it. Seeing the beautiful colors on the trees-golds, reds, and greens are beautiful!

Where has the week gone?

For the most part, I work on Mondays. So when I came into work today, I think that it's Monday. At work, the cafeteria has the same thing on the specialty bar for breakfast each day of the week. When I thought it was Monday, I thought they had quesadillas. It is Wednesday. The first two days of the week are no where in my mind. They passed, but without any recogntion of them passing.

Am I just getting old or is it that I have completely lost my mind being at home with 3 kids? I can't remember anything! Its hard for me to remember to brush my teeth and put on deteorant sometimes. (although remembering the deoterant isn't as hard, because Joey normally steals it and tries to put it on too.) I go to the store and if I don't make a list and bring it with me, I forget what I went for.

I worked this past weekend and that throws my work schedule off (well it does in my mind) so I was off Monday and Tuesday and I work today (Wednesday) and tomorrow. I then get Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off! YAY a whole weekend with the boys and Marc!!

Well as I posted above, I lose my train of thought and I just lost what this whole post was going to be about. Oh Well.

Thankful on a .....Saturday

So normally the people who do this posting are "Thankful on a Thursday." Well I just stumbled upon it and decided that in my frustration with all the things that are going on around me, I need to start counting the things that I am thankful for. Through the depression that I have been going through, its been rough trying to see the "light at the end of the tunnel." To see the good things in my life through the hard times and dark moments. So here is the starting of the list!

1. My mother- I don't know what I would do if I couldn't call her with a problem or when something funny happened with the boys.

2. Flip Flops- Seriously don't know if I would be able to live without my 10 different pair of flip flops that I own. I have one in almost every color and I wear them unless their is snow on the ground or unless I have to go to work.

3. Miche Purses-Not having to worry about changing the whole purse when I want a different look is amazing. So simple. Why couldn't someone come up with this earlier!

4.God's grace-Without that, I would be destined to hell for all of eternity. I don't like the sound of that and without His grace, eternal life would not be fun.

Planet Wise hanging wet bag giveaway-Monkey Tales

I love giveaways. Not only do I love the thrill of winning something, but I also love trying new products. In the past, I have won a few giveaways, but the giveaway that I am going to blog about is most likely the product that I would use the most often.
As my readers know, I cloth diaper. I love not only knowing that I am doing something great for the planet, but I also love the feeling that I don't HAVE to go buy disposable diapers. We choose to use one disposable a night for each of the boys, but other than that, they are primarily in cloth. When we lived at our house, I never had a problem with the smell of the cloth diapers. To me, it doesn't smell that bad, but we mostly just put them in the basement where we never were and didn't worry about them until it was time to wash them. Once we moved in with my in laws, this became a problem. We primarily spend most of our time on the main floor of the house. That is where the living/dining/kitchen is. The boys have their toys in the sun room and we don't leave those main areas much of the day except to take naps. When downstairs, there is a bathroom that houses the washer/dryer. For the first couple of days, we just put our dirty diapers in that bathroom and didn't think anything about it. (we do diaper laundry every other night. ) Then my mother in law said that it was stinking so she washed the diapers. Don't get me wrong, I understood where she was coming from and I was appreciative that she was helping me out, but she (and those who cloth diaper could most likely understood when I gasped at what she did) washed it in a scented Tide that had fabric softener in it. (Those who don't see a problem with that and have a question why, email me)
So to make this not happen anymore, I would love to win this wet bag. It would hang right on the shower rod and keep the stinkies in and my mother in law out of my laundry! :)

Long, Long week and moving

So here I am at the end of one of the longest weeks that I have ever had. I guess the week started back last Friday when we started moving our stuff. Really??!? Do we have that much stuff? Yes we do. Between all of the stuff that Marc and I moved into our house when we moved in (each at separate times) and the stuff we have accumulated since the boys were born, we have a crap ton of stuff. Now people might think that they have alot of stuff, but they have no idea until they have to move it all. I think that we could do with much less than we have, so when I get a chance, we will go through everything and get rid of things we don't need/want anymore. We should have done this a long time ago. It's hard to get anything done with kids around and a husband who doesn't seem to see things that need to be done without you yelling/nagging him that it needs to be done, so when moving, it tends to be, "hey lets get rid of the junk that we don't want anymore."
It is hard thinking about moving. Leaving a place that you have called home for the past 3 1/2 yrs. The place you brought your children home to. The place you decorated for the child you were expecting. The place where you came home to after your honeymoon. The kitchen where you made your children their first solid foods. To some people those things might be silly. They might think you are being too sentimental when you get upset because you have to leave that house and move into a different one. I know that I will make new memories. I will have a place where I will say the twins took their first steps. Where they learned to ride a bike. Where they moved into their toddler beds.
The material things aren't that important. Marc and I fought about what we were going to get rid of and what we were going to keep. There were things that we didn't remember that we had. To him, if we hadn't used it in a while, he wanted to get rid of it. There are things that I wanted to keep because they meant something to me. He didn't see the importance. He wasn't trying to see things from my point of view. He just wanted to make moving easier.
I don't think many things would make moving easier. Especially if you are moving from your own house into your mother and father in laws house and putting most of your stuff into storage. I have to realize that God is doing this for a reason. I don't know that reason yet, but I do know that it is for me to learn from. I will just pray that I have the patience to wait for God to show me what it is. And also the patience to not kill my husband in the process......
