Thanksgiving

Well this year Thanksgiving was a bit different than I have had to deal with in the past. I actually had to work it (or should I say that I was scheduled to work Thanksgiving) Wednesday we had dinner with my side of the family and had a good time. Each adult had to bring a dish. It was to be a suprise to everyone else what you were going to bring. I brought dill dip and made pecan pie. Marc made party potatoes. Dad made baked sweet potatoes. Mom made sopapillas and Jesse made sweet potato caserole. It was nice to have something to do that night. On Thanksgiving, Marc and Joey left to go to Marc's parents house for Thanksgiving so I could sleep. I tried to sleep a little bit, but never slept well. I showed up to work and found out that they didn't need me. Frustrating to say the least, but at least I could go home and sleep and shop on Friday morning.

I got up and went shopping with Mom on Friday morning. I got a few Christmas presents out of the way too! It was tiring getting up at 330am, but it was worth it. I then drove up to Marc's parents house and on Friday Evening, we had dinner with his immediate family. Today we have just hung out and not done much. We ran to Springfield but just looked mostly. Not too exciting. Tomorrow Marc and I are planning on going to the movies. We will see if it happens!! Night all!!

Mimitens

From one of the blogs that I follow, there is a contest to give away a pair of mittens, hat, and a scarf. The design is very cool too! There are no strings, no velcro closures to keep them on. 29 Weeks

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been busy lately!!!

How far along: 29 weeks

Total weight gain: -3 lbs

Maternity clothes: Same as before. All maternity pants and pretty much all maternity shirts now. I think that more form fitting shirts look better because they don't look like I am wearing a tent. Its weird how even though I am pregnant, I am still worried about how huge I look.

Stretch marks: There are a few new ones now. Its going to happen and I just need to accept it. I just hope they look ok after the babies are here. Its vain I know, but its still my body and I have to look at it every day.

How big is belly? I don't know. I don't have a measuring tape with me right now.

Sleep: It's an on and off thing. Some nights I sleep so great and most nights I sleep horrible. I wake up all the time needing to pee. Its gotten to a point now that its hard for me to get comfortable when I first lay down. It seems like I can't breathe sometimes!
Best moment this week: Just knowing we are in the home stretch!

Movement: People can feel them too!! Not just Marc and I. There are some girls at work who every time they see me they ask if the babies are moving and if they can feel it!

Food cravings: Sweet Tea and again, Panda Express sounds good.

Belly button in or out: Its not out yet, but I can actually see the inside of it which I can never do. I don't even think it was this shallow with Joey!
What I miss: Feeling like myself. I just feel like a different person. Its hard to explain it, but I don't feel like myself anymore.

What I'm looking forward to: Just feeling somewhat normal again.

I went to the dr last week (28 weeks 2 days) Dr said everything looks great! We had an ultrasound and baby A is 2lb11oz and baby B is 3 lbs! I can't believe there is 6 lbs of baby in me right now! The dr is still worried about my weight gain but I am trying to eat more. My cervix is still long and closed. No funneling. When it was checked at 25 weeks, they said it was 5cm. It was 4.65cm this time. The dr said this is perfectly normal and they just don't want it to be below 3cm at this time. I still have a ways to go before its that length! I am proud of my body for carrying these babies so well. I feel like my body might fall apart, but its holding up so far! My emotions are in high gear right now. Its hard to control them and I find myself apologizing to Marc even more than I used to because I know I am being hormonal. My hormones won't regulate for a while, but once the babies get here, at least they won't be working double time! There have been things that are going on in my life that are stressing me out and I really don't need it right now. I don't know why I have to worry about stupid stuff when I'm so pregnant, but I guess that just the woman in me! Anyways, I will write again next week (at least) about how things are going. I go back to the dr when I am 30w3d so there will be an update about that too!!!

Poked and Prodded

I went to the Dr on Friday (Nov 6) and was officially poked and prodded. First I started off by having an ultrasound and a cervical length check. The ultrasound isn't bad, but the cervical length check is violating to say the least. Good news from that, my cervix is still 5cm. The same that it was 3 weeks ago! The ultrasound technologist said that I have the cervix of a champion and a great cervix to have twins! I know this can change overnight, but its reassuring at the same time. I then proceeded to go to the Dr's office and start my glucose tolerance test. I had to drink this very sugary drink. I gulped it down in 40 seconds. Then went and got my BP and weight checked. The nurse took me to my room and I waited for the dr to come in and see me. She came in a short time later and we talked for a little bit.
I will start having weekly appts when I am 30 weeks and start having Biophysical Profiles at 32 weeks. This will be in addition to my cervical length checks and the growth ultrasounds I will be getting. She wants me to gain weight too. I eat, but I guess the babies are just sucking what I am eating. She said that the latest for the babies to be in position for delivery is 34 weeks. Since both of the babies are transverse, we can only wait to see if they will turn by then.

I then had to wait for another 20 minutes and then get my blood drawn for my glucose test. After that, I got my Rogham shot (I had to get a S-H-O-T in the boom boom). I left the office feeling like I had been violated in many different ways.
I am glad that everything looks great and I go back in to see the dr on the 18th. I will have a dr appt and have a growth ultrasound and see how big the babies are!

26 Weeks!

How far along: 26 weeks
Total weight gain: -5 lbs
Maternity clothes: Same as before. All maternity pants and pretty much all maternity shirts now. I feel more comfortable in clothes that accentuate my belly, but not things that are too short or too tight. I just think that I look better in clothes that aren't huge on me!

Stretch marks:I think I see a few new ones. Marc says he can't but I think they are there.

How big is belly? 48 inches. I thought I had grown since last week but it doesn't seem to have grown.
Sleep:Still not really great. I am trying to rest when possible, but once 3pm hits, I'm pooped, especially when I am working!

Best moment this week: Seeing the babies move on the outside! They were kicking and moving and Marc and I were amazed!
Movement: They are moving like crazy. Other people are starting to be able to feel them move from the outside too!
Food cravings: Sweet Tea and I really want some of that white cheese from the Mexican food place.

What I miss: Being comfortable and feeling rested. I hardly ever feel rested anymore. I know that won't happen for a while even after the babies are here, but its hard to try to rest when you don't actually rest.

This week has been pretty good. Not too much going on. It was Halloween and Joey had a lot of fun! We didn't go to many places, but he still got to see those people who are important. He was a giraffe! The babies also dressed up as fish in my fish tank! I can't believe that we have less than 12 weeks until the babies are here. I can't wait! I know it will be hard, but its going to be fun having the babies here! There are only a few more things that I want/need before they get here so I guess I am ready! We will have to get everything out of storage before they get here though. Joey doesn't know what is going to hit him! I am looking forward to being off work again. I enjoyed my time with Joey as short as it seemed. We have a dr appt on Friday and we will see how things are looking from there! T minus 84 days and counting!
